Manage your plan & billing
Upgrade, downgrade, monitor usage, and understand what happens when you approach your signal limits.
View your current plan
Go to Platform → Plan & Billing in the sidebar to see:
- Your current plan tier (Core, Pro, or Enterprise)
- Signal usage this billing period
- AI signal usage (Pro and Enterprise)
- Feature availability for your tier
Understand your usage meters
Two meters track your consumption:
Total Signals: every inbound event processed through the pipeline (SMS, email, missed call, webhook, etc.)
AI Signals: signals that used AI features (classification, scoring, or reply generation). AI signals are a subset of total signals and have their own limit on Pro and Enterprise plans.
Meters are color-coded:
- Green (under 70%): plenty of room
- Yellow (70–90%): approaching your limit
- Red (over 90%): close to or at your cap
Usage resets at the start of each billing period.
Purchase credit packs
If you need more capacity mid-cycle, purchase credit packs from the Credits tab:
- Signals credits: Starter (500), Growth (2,000), or Scale (10,000) packs
- Communications credits: Starter ($25), Standard ($90), or Volume ($250) packs for voice calls and SMS
Click a pack to purchase via secure checkout. Credits are added to your wallet immediately.
Change your plan
You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from the Plan & Billing page. Changes take effect immediately.
Upgrading: You gain immediate access to higher limits and additional features. If you upgrade from Core to Pro, AI features become available right away.
Downgrading: Your limits decrease at the next billing period. If you downgrade from Pro to Core, AI features remain active until the current period ends.
What happens at your limit
Soft cap (90%): A warning indicator appears on your usage meter. Everything still works normally.
Hard cap (100%): AI features are paused. The pipeline switches to rules-only mode automatically:
- Signals still flow and rules still fire
- Templates still send
- Classification, scoring, and reply generation are skipped
- Rules that depend on AI conditions (intent, sentiment, score) won't match
No signals are ever dropped. Your pipeline degrades gracefully by skipping AI stages. Once your usage resets or you upgrade, AI features resume automatically.
Free trial
New accounts start with a free trial that includes all Pro features. During the trial:
- All Pro features are available (AI classification, scoring, reply generation)
- A usage banner appears at the top of the dashboard showing how many demo signals you've used
The banner changes color as you approach the trial cap:

When you hit the cap, AI features are paused and a Start subscription button appears on the banner.
No credit card is required to start the trial.
Activate your subscription
When you're ready to move from the trial to a paid plan:
- Click Start subscription on the trial banner, or go to Platform → Plan & Billing
- Your pricing is based on your industry segment (Healthcare or Professional Services), which was set during initial setup
- Confirm your plan selection
Your subscription activates immediately. AI features resume and the trial banner disappears.
Billing notifications
Signals sends notifications when billing events need your attention:
- Low credit balance—your Signals or Comms wallet is running low
- Payment failed—a charge didn't go through
- Trial expiring: your free trial is ending soon
- Subscription activated: confirmation when you move from trial to paid
Billing alerts are delivered via both push notifications and email. They are on by default. You can toggle them in Preferences → Notifications. See Manage notifications.
Note: Billing alert toggles are visible to admin users only.
Billing portal
Click Open Billing Portal on the Plan & Billing page to access the billing portal. From there you can:
- Update your payment method
- View and download invoices
- Manage your subscription details
Agency volume pricing

Tips
- Monitor the AI Signals meter. If it's consistently near the limit, consider upgrading. You're getting value from AI, and the next tier gives you more.
- Core is fully functional. You can route signals, send templates, and create tasks without any AI. If your routing logic is simple and deterministic, Core might be all you need.
- The hard cap doesn't lose data. Signals are still processed and rules still fire. Only AI stages are skipped.
